In 2009, Naturefund, together with the Hessian Society for Ornithology and Conservation (HGON), bought a meadow orchard near Limburg an der Lahn. The meadow is dotted with old fruit trees, flowers and small shrubs, where many rare species live. The special feature of this meadow is a pair of eagle owls, which regularly hunts here.
