Nicola Beer is the Vice-President of the European Parliament. She is the President's representative for the Central Asian states. As Vice-President she is responsible for multilingualism and the House of European History (in cooperation with VP Dobrev). Other responsibilities include conciliation procedures (in cooperation with VP McGuinness and VP Barley) and membership of the European Citizens' Prize Registry. She is also a member of the Working Group on Information and Communication Policy and of the Committee for the Follow-up of Exams. She is a member of the Bureau of the European Parliament. In addition, she sits on the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, and on the Delegation for relations with Israel. She is also a substitute member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and a substitute member of the delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly.
