Our agriculture, or rather the way we currently produce food, must change. Because this form of agriculture destroys soils, pollutes groundwater, reduces biodiversity and does not provide a good life for farming families or animals. In addition, modern agriculture contributes to up to 40 percent of global carbon emissions.
Alternatives are needed that farm families can participate in and that are widely talked about. Naturefund is initiating just such alternatives in the form of pilot projects with farming families. The positive effects of dynamic agroforestry on yields, the regeneration of degenerated soils and the use of plant charcoal to build up humus are to be tested, improved and disseminated by means of the pilot projects. A film team accompanies the process. In this way, alternatives are to be demonstrated and the financial and ecological advantages of a different form of agriculture made clear.
Below we present some of the pilot projects already carried out. Help us to realize further projects!
